This journal will be a fan write for the Theatrical Muse community. Nasci De'Matteo is an original character created by me, loosely based in the Darkages universe. If someone were to play him, in my mind the actor best suited for the role is Hugh Jackman. However I am not Hugh Jackman, and Nasci is a fictional character.

This journal may or may not contain adult themes. However, for the sake of the readers, every post shall be labeled according to the context of the post, as well as placed in an LJ cut. If you are under the age of 18 (or 21 in given countires), please do not read posts that contain such labels. Such content is listed as heavy violence, sexual themes, excessive profanity, ummm.. all that.. adult content'ish stuff.

(Summarized Character Story:
01 - An Orphan's Hope
--- Without a family, friends, or supported life.. Nasci looks to an unsure future with hope, and swears that he will fight to make the future a better place for everyone.. even if he himself wasn't worth much.

02 - Gliocian Faith
--- The orphans are introduced to the Glioca temple, and while the other children run off to play outside, Nasci stays to learn more of the Goddess of compassion. He is then joined into the faith.

03 - Sticks and Stones
--- With dreams of being worth something, he thinks about a life as a Loures knight. Being able to protect people, and to save people's lives. However everyone mocks him, and tells him that no orphan could ever become a knight of Loures.

04 - The Man Who I Called Father
--- While praying in the Glioca Temple, the Knight Zainaku enters and notices the poor child focusing all his will toward the goddess. When the boy tries to leave the temple, the knight stops him and asks him to go for a walk. Together they talk about his dreams for the future, and Zainaku tells him that if he really wanted to be a knight of Loures, then nothing in this world could hold him back from reaching that goal. Nasci starts to feel close to the man, and becomes like a son over the deochs.

05 - Chance of Arms
--- Zainaku gets Nasci into the Loures troops with word that he was a soldier that had something to prove. The boy trains hard, and passes each test with flying colors. Thus, he joins the services of the kingdom.

06 - Troop Leader
--- Within five days, Nasci is promoted up to troop leader. His team is one of the top soldier troops in service to the king.

07 - Traveling the Ranks
--- As he grows up, Nasci continues to move through the ranks, the will to press on and BE something pushes him forward. He becomes the first officer under Knight Zainaku.

08 - The Goblin War
--- Called off to war with his close friend Zainaku, they fight off the goblins to protect the aislings from harm. They risk their lives for their people. During the war, Zainaku, Nasci, and some of their men are stuck guarding a tunnel. On one side is the rushing goblin army, on the other is the kingdom of Loures. The four men stand ground and fight to their last breath to protect their home. The cave floor falls through, and Nasci and Zainaku fall into an underground river. The tunnel collapses and the people are saved. When Nasci awakens, there is no word of anyone from his troop, and Zainaku is missing as well.

09 - Knight of Loures
--- Returning home, Nasci is praised as a hero, and is promoted to the highest rank within the knigdom a soldier can gain. Knight, an orphan knight. Before a crowd of ten thousand, Nasci spoke of the war, and the hearts of his men, and his friend. If there was a hero this day, is was everyone who stood upon the battlefield. Everyone who gave their life for these people. They should all be knights on this day. And thus the king, moved by the words, promoted each of the fallen to knighthood, and gave their familes all room at the castle as honored family.

10 - A Place Called Tagor
--- After many deochs serving Loures, Nasci and a few other knights were given a mission to supress the "violently rebelling" citizens of Tagor. However upon seeing the people.. they were just poor, and couldn't pay taxes to the kingdom. Nasci witnessed the other knights threatening the poor citizens, and quickly steped forward and before them, demanding the knights to stand down. They laughed, and said that this was how the world really was. They said this is how things were in Undine before they crushed it. Shocked by this news, Nasci was left speechless. The knights chuckled and said they were joking, easing the mood. However when Nasci turned around, one of the knights drove his sword into the Tagor citizens. Nasci fought the knight, and at the end of a long battle they had Nasci pinned to the ground. He was taken back to the kingdom, and marked as a traitor. The king took his blade and crossed the seal of the knight upon his armor, carving an X through it. He was thus banished from all lands of Loures. Should he step foot upon them again, any soldier of any rank had an order to strike him dead. Dispite his words of truth about the happenings of Undine and Tagor, no one listened to the man who "used Loures for his own wickedness."

11 - Forsaken
--- Leaving his titles and position in Loures, Nasci fled the land and went into hiding. He felt betrayed. Everything he had fought for, hoped for, had been for nothing. The ex-knight moved to Tagor and took up citizenship. He hid here and disguised himself as one of the common folk. Even if it ment his death, no Loures soldier would harm another Tagor citizen again.

12 - The Rogue
--- Drawing to the shadows, he melted into the path of the Rogue. He had always favored strength and swiftness, and molding to the rogue path brought out a lot of his inner abilities.

13 - Protector from the Shadows
--- Being able to defend the Tagor citizens from the darkness in stealth kept him unknown. He continued to do so for twenty deochs. However as rumor stirred that he had taken up residence in Tagor, the soldier's started to do marches through the streets, trying to find him.

14 - A New Home called Oren
--- Nasci was forced to move to Oren, one of the only cities outside of Loures' rule. A place filled with cut throats and honest people. A place where he can continue to fight for what's right, and still keep himelf hidden from public eye. He lives his life as an unknown man.
